The Trecastle Young Farmers represented Brecknock Y.F.C. at The Royal Welsh Show at Llanelwydd in the Tug-of –War competition. It was a blisteringly hot day and the crowds were very large partly due to a Royal Visit by Prince Charles and Camilla. Trecastle were up against a great deal of opposition and held off teams during the early stages with some very long battles with opponent sides. All the teams were suffering with the heat and the hard ground. Trecastle found it very difficult to get good footholds and succumbed to slightly better teams. They fought well and took on the best in Wales and Trecastle can be very proud of the team effort and the trainers and support personnel on the day.
