The long awaited performance of Shelley Davies`s “Circus Wars” took place on the evening of the 2nd outstanding drama that was Trecastle Y.F.C.`s submission to the Brecknock`s Drama week at Theatre Brycheiniog in 2014. The village hall was bulging at the seams with anxious locals hoping to get good seats. There were also invited Clubs from Talgarth and Sennybridge who also took to the stage giving exceptional performances.
Circus Wars at Trecastle Community Centre We were really pleased to have them with us for the evening. However , the highlight was “Circus Wars” which was advertised as “Two Circus`s come to town”. It was a superbly written script with fun and merriment, songs and trickery. There was also an underlying secret story that unfolded towards the end.

Circus Wars at Trecastle Community Centre Josie Howells SingsIt was essentially a story of two circus`s coming to town. and a wager was made between the two circus owners to battle it out. and the best circus would stay and the other would leave. Each circus was depicted on stage with it`s own merits, but during the performance the secret of a child being adopted came to light. The mother and daughter who had been separated at birth, just happened to be different circus`s. They became reunited when the secret was uncovered and the two circus`s lived happily ever after. After all, we all know what happens when people work collectively as a team and throw themselves into a common goal. Magic happens, just like it does in Trecastle Y.F.C.

Circus Wars at Trecastle Community Centre Shaun Lifts a Huge WeightThe cast was superb and the costumes and solo performances were brilliant. The storyline was well written and kept the audience on the edge of their seats. There was fun to be had for the audience throughout the performance, but the enjoyment didn`t stop there. All the cast enjoyed it too ! The smiles during the performance said it all, and the audience noticed it. Circus Wars at Trecastle Community CentreCredit must go to the organising team who worked so hard with the fantastic children of Trecastle Y.F.C. and the kids themselves who worked so hard during rehearsals to make the performance such a success. Trecastle Community are so proud of the efforts that the Y.F.C. make during completion time.

It`s not over yet though!!. There`s the Y.F.C. Annual Show to worry about next !!!!
