TRECASTLE Show. 20th September 2014
Entry by Community Group: YFC
The YFC. Trecastle Show took place on Saturday the 20th September 2014. It was another fine day which made the day pleasant. Held at The Fedw Farm at the top of the dual carriageway on the edge of the Mynydd Epynt army ranges it made a fantastic setting for the show. This is the second time the show has taken place after a lengthy layoff. The show was reinstated in 2013 and this year promised to be a bigger and better show. The Workman Family have been very generous again in providing a suitable venue for the show.
Trecastle Young Farmers Club members were very busy weeks before making sure that the farm areas and buildings were fit for purpose. It was no surprise to go to the farm on the 20th and see the farm turned out fantastically and the organisation was tiptop also. There was a fantastic display of handicraft, photography, art, literary writings, food, farm produce and livestock. The local children had entered into the thrill of creating things, and the standard of competition was really amazing. Local people brought craft to sell and the bouncy castle was a big attraction. Later in the evening the bar and live music continued into the early hours.
