C.A.R.S. Meeting - Speed & Anti-Social Driving
Entry by Community Group: Brecon and District Mind
We and Dyfed-Powys Police have escaped increased biker injuries this year because it has been mostly wet, and as we all know things are quieter on our highways when it rains. But when we are lucky enough to have drier weather in Powys for remaining days of 2015, we know will be invaded by the dry weather bikers who will be out having their fun and putting themselves and others at risk. They are likely to affect the road death data for Powys again. We are aware that it is not only motorbikes that involve themselves in anti social and thoughtless driving, but motorcyclists single themselves out easily by the sound and sight of what they like to be involved in. However, we are dedicated to making a difference to this issue, as well as protecting those who live in the rural communities around Trecastle, Sennybridge, Brecon and Llandovery. Nobody wants to witness a fatality outside their home !!
The Police Commissioner, Christopher Salmon met us during 2014 and not a great deal seems to have happened, Death and Injury statistics have risen and We !! intend to maintain our interest and commitment to local people and local rural communities during the remainder of 2015 and into 2016.
