Trecastle Sponsored Walk - July 7th 2013

The Sponsored Walk took place in the scorching heat of an early July Sunday on the 7th July. It was the same day that Murray won Wimbledon and Chris Frome kept his yellow jersey in the Tour de France and maintained his overall lead. There was the usual crowd of keen supporters from the village, with the addition of a group from Sennybridge who joined in. There was a great atmospere with all walkers friends or not, exchanging conversation as the walk got underway. The walk was thankfully in shade and sun alternately which gave some cooler moments during the very picturesque walk. It was great to see the village from a different perspective and also Pen-y-Fan and Llyn -y-Fan from good vantage points. This is a walk which is recommended by all that completed it. It is in the leaflet of 4 walks around Trecastle which can be picked up in our pubs.
Anybody who could not complete the walk and would like to donate something towards the upkeep of our wonderful village hall can pass donations onto Lyn White, Dave Howells, Shelley Davies, Margaret Tweedy or Julie Elliot.
It would be great if more people would support the village events...I`m getting bored of seeing the same people!!!
