Remembering the Battle of Agincourt and the Men of Llywel

Fri, 13 Feb 2015 11:56 am

As we move closer to the dates of events to remember The Battle of Agincourt and more especially, The men of Llywel who fought at the battle and Sir Watkyn Lloyd who was knighted on the battlefield by Henry V. They are important men in the village of Trecastle!! You might see the archers which have been made locally and placed at strategic places in and around Trecastle and Brecon.

The children at Sennybridge School are involved in this and will hopefully be pleased and proud to dress up when the Brecon Pageant takes place. They will be involved in some project work at the school. We hope to make this an event to remember.

The Area at the Eastern Side of Trecastle on the A40 opposite Pendre Cottage has a 600 shape planted with daffodils and as our normal fantastic display of daffodils you should see the sjhape of 600 in the sloped embankment opposite Pendre Cottage. It should look superb. Keep a look out for it as the daffodils make their appearance in the next few weeks. Many of the daffodils that have been planted in the village were planted by Y.F.C. children during our torchlight planting last year. Thankyou!!

and don`t forget Parents!!....Drive like a daffodil through Trecastle!!
