The MidSummer Trial - H.E.R.O. - Historic Rally Around Trecastle

There will be a Historic Rally taking place around Trecastle area on Saturday 21st June. It is called The MidSummer Trial and it is organised by H.E.R.O. The event will pass across the ranges, down the dual carriageway and turn left at Llywel Church at the A40 Main Road. It will then turn right immediately after The Antiques Centre[approx 15.30] and head towards Usk Reservoir. It then turns left towards Pont Hydfer and then turns right towards the Old Trecastle Road. The competitors will then take a coffee/tea break at The Gwyn Arms. An ideal place to see the drivers and the cars at close quarters at about 16.00. The cars leave in a northerly direction, turning off to Heol Senni [approx 16.40] after The Crai Reservoir. They head south towards Ystradfelte, past Maen Llia. The event finishes at Margam Park. The cars competing at lead by a 1930s Bentley, and the entry list is fairly impressive with some very exotic and exp ensive machinery.
