Trecastle Motor Sport and Rally Events

These pages are to provide information about any motoring event in the area. We are lucky to be at the heart of Car Motor Rallying, because we have The Epynt Military Ranges very nearby and this is the Premier Tarmac Rally venue in Great Britain.  To the side and the rear of the M.O.D. property on the ranges are Halfway Forest and Crychan Forest. These are prime locations for Forest Motor Rallies and all have been popularly used in Wales Rally GB last fifteen years. Prior to that The Lombard Rally of Great Britain used the area, and The Welsh International Rally used it extensively. It is still used by a range of motor clubs for national Motor rallies today. Port Talbot Motor Club, Hereford Motor Club, Brecon Motor Club, Quinton Motor Club, Epynt Motor Club, Forresters Motor Club and H.E.R.O. use the area continuously throughout the year.  Motorbike racing has traditionally been organised here over many decades and in 2018, R.R. Wales unsuccessfully made a bid to use the area for a prestigious motorcycle race. I`m sure that this will happen in the near future.
