  9. Buses MP Chris Davies Thank you for taking the time to write to me, on behalf of Llywel Community Council, in relation to the lack of bus services running in Trecastle.

I am indeed very aware of the current situation.

It is ludicrous that the community of Trecastle have been left with no access at all to public transport , and to have to walk three miles into Sennybridge, to catch a bus is ridiculous.  The fact that you have no GP surgery, post office or shop adds even more reason for this valuable service to be reinstated.

Please be assured that I will do all that I can to help get a service reinstated.

I have written to Cllr John Brunt asking for a full response to the Traws Cymru consultation that took place back in September last year.  In addition, I have asked for an update on talks with the Welsh Government that are currently underway as to the possibility of the Brecon to Carmarthen route being a strategic route. I have also again highlighted the urgent need for the service to be reinstated.

As soon as I receive a response from Cllr Brunt then I will be in touch.
